Indie Coffee Roasters
In search of good coffee? This is our go-to in Carmel. Be sure to check out their seasonal drinks! (Closed on Sunday) (If you want to venture to our FAVORITE coffee shop, you'll have to go to PROVIDER in Indianapolis. It's a bit of drive, but worth the trip!)
Cafe Patachou Clay Terrace
Indy's famous brunch spot! Always say yes to the cinnamon toast! Recommendations: Turkey Chili w/ Waffle Grilled Cheese or the Cuban Breakfast
Rosie's Place
Rosie's Place first opened in Noblesville (Phil's hometown) and has expanded to several locations in the area! Check them out for great brunch options and make sure to try the Gooey Butter Cookies!
Big Lug Canteen
One of our go-to lunch/dinner spots! (And the location of one of our first dates!) Phil recommends the poutine, and Jordan always gets the Willie's Special Salad (mild). Right on the Monon Trail for those interested in biking from Carmel!
Blue Sushi Sake Grill
Our favorite sushi spot! Also very close to one of our favorite shopping areas!
Napolese
Our favorite artisanal pizza and wine spot! We'd recommend splitting a pizza or two and a salad (and maybe a bottle of wine) with your table. Also has direct access to the Fashion Mall if you are up for some shopping.
The Pint Room Bar
Great beer selection and pub food! Before or after your meal, stroll down Main Street for some shopping!
Woodys Library Restaurant
Opened in 1914 as Carmel's public library, and now serves as a locally owned restaurant that we've been to several times and have really enjoyed!
Sun King Carmel
Food hall meets brewery. There's something for everyone at this spot with four different restaurants to choose from. Enjoy your choices on the patio and let the kiddos run around on the front lawn!
3UP
A rooftop bar in Carmel?! Yep. It's true. And don't worry if it's cold, there are heaters and an indoor area too! Great spot for cocktails and light bites!
Graeter's Ice Cream
Had to have an ice cream recommendation on here! We love to stop by for Mocha Chocolate Chip (Phil's favorite) or Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip (Jordan's favorite).
The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers, Carmel City Center
Some of the best cake you will ever have, even Oprah says so. While a little pricey, this is a must for anyone with a sweet tooth. They also have great brunch, lunch, and dinner options if you are interested in eating more than just cake.
Penn & Beech Candle Co.
If you know Jordan, you know her love for candles, so this is a frequent date spot for Jordan and Phil because you can pour your own! Quick Tip: Make a reservation! Although, they do take walk-ins when available.
Silver in the City - Carmel
One of our favorite shops for unique gifts and local finds! Right on Main Street in Carmel.
Clay Terrace
Need to do some last minute shopping? Clay Terrace is Carmel's mall and has some great stores to check out! If you are looking for Indy souvenirs, we recommend The Shop.
The Fashion Mall at Keystone
Our favorite mall in the area! Looking for a Nordstrom, Crate & Barrel or Williams Sonoma? Or maybe some great dining options? This is the spot!
Monon Trail
Bring your bike or running shoes! The Monon Trail runs right through the heart of Carmel and connects all the way to Downtown Indianapolis! It's a great way to see the city and check out the great restaurants and shops along the trail.
Central Park
This is our favorite "close to home" park! There's a great playground for the kids and walking trails throughout! The best part is that you can get there via the Monon Trail!
Cool Creek Park Nature Center
For our outdoor enthusiasts, this is the closest you'll get in Carmel and one of our favorites! Check out the trails!
