Alex proposed on February 16, 2020. Alex was a Cheshire cat all morning as we got ready to go to the Milwaukee Art Museum. Part way through the museum tour, Alex receives a voicemail message. His face drops and he goes white. Laura, meanwhile, notices this, but pretends to not notice at all. Come to find out, the call was from the Harbor House (where we had a celebratory dinner reservation). A water main broke and the restaurant flooded! That didn't deter Alex, though. After the tour he took Laura on a walk by Lake Michigan. When the moment was right, he went down on one knee and asked the very important question. She, of course, said yes! Then a photographer jumped from behind the snow bank to capture it all! We found a new restaurant to celebrate at - Stella Van Buren.
