If traveling by car, note that Dewey Beach is about 3 hours from the Lancaster, PA and Baltimore-Washington metro areas. Coming from either the north or west, the fastest routes often take you on toll roads (DE route 1 and eastbound on the Bay Bridge, for example). If traveling by plane, the closest large airport is Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), which is almost a 2-hour drive from Dewey Beach. There are also bus routes that run through Dewey Beach or nearby towns.
