How should I RSVP?

What is the dress code?
Answer
We ask that all guests wear cocktail attire. Ties are optional, but please note that blue jeans or sneakers are not permitted. Festive fall colors are encouraged! Note that our ceremony is taking place outside, so please check the weather and plan accordingly.

What time should we arrive?
Answer
Our ceremony begins at 4:30pm, so please arrive promptly before 4:15pm. Any guests who arrive after this time must wait until the ceremony is over to join us. Cocktail hour will begin immediately after the ceremony, with dinner and dancing to follow. Please refer to the "Schedule" page of our site for a more detailed timeline.

What parking options are available?
Answer
Any guests who are staying at the Hyatt Place Dewey Beach can park for free in the garage on the ground level of the hotel. All other guests can park for free in the two large parking lots on either side of the hotel and event space.

Will there be transportation to and from your venue?
Answer
As our ceremony and reception are taking place at the same venue, transportation will not be provided. We encourage guests who are staying the night to book a room through our block at the attached hotel, Hyatt Place Dewey Beach.

Can I bring my children?
Answer
We love your little ones, but our wedding is an adults-only event. With the exception of our immediate family's children attending the ceremony, we cannot accommodate any other children. We appreciate your understanding.

Where should we bring/send gifts?
Answer
Celebrating with you at our wedding is the greatest gift of all. However, if you'd like to honor us with a gift and are looking for ideas, we've registered here: https://www.zola.com/registry/the-heikkinens. Please have any physical gifts delivered to our home at 315 Mary Street, Downingtown, PA 19335. A wedding card box will be at our reception.

Can you provide suggestions for things to do in the local area?
Answer
Dewey Beach and the surrounding towns are wonderful destinations with lots to offer, even in the off-season. Please refer to the "Things To Do" section of our site for suggestions on where to eat, drink, sight-see, and more while you're in town.
