We had a trip planned to Costa Rica for a long time. We were going for a wedding but were planning on utilizing every moment in the beautiful country! So, a quick trip to Tamarindo (a beautiful, beachy, surf town with AMAZING sunsets) on our last night was a must. Little did I know, he had a lot more planned than I was aware of. We arrived early for the reservations we had. So, we agreed we should walk the beach. As we started walking, I saw a little setup of flowers, a bamboo rug, etc. and thought nothing of it. So, once we got about 20 feet from it, we could no longer walk on the beach due to the high tides. I started taking off my shoes, thinking we’d have to get in the water. That is when he told me to wait, started rummaging through his backpack, looked up at me nervously, and grabbed my hand. He was walking me to that beautiful set up. IT WAS NOT CLICKING. I did NOT feel worthy of all this! Finally, as I was saying YES to marrying the love of my life, it all started to click.
