We met in college, where we were both engaged in many different activities that never really brought us together yet always kept us close in vicinity due to mutual friends, mutual interests, etc. I was always a little bit interested in Austin. He was different. A gentleman. You could say he caught my eye. It wasn't until December 2015, though, that he sealed the deal of us once-&-for-all embarking on what brought us to where we are today... yep, he slid into my DM's. He said all the sweet things that any typical (creep) might say; however, there was still something different about him that I noticed even before then. We did the small talk thing for days; then New Years Eve arrived, where we were both in New Orleans for the Oklahoma State Sugar Bowl. Just as I predicted & gushed to my mom about 5 minutes after he messaged me on Instagram, he was indeed my 2016 New Year's kiss. Fast forward to June 17, 2016, when he finally, "officially" asked me to be his girlfriend at a St. Louis Cardinals game. Everyone who knows me knows I love the Cardinals; so there's nothing more romantic than that. Except, of course, the way he proposed, almost 3 years later! The year of 2016 was not only the year our relationship began & blossomed but it was also the year we began long distance. I moved to his stomping grounds in TX & began corporate life while he continued living it up in college. I spent most weekends visiting him in Stillwater, so that I, too, could continue living it up in college! Two years later, when May 2018 came around, he was so ready to begin life in Dallas. I, on the other hand, was pretty bummed I lost my last hope of pretending I was still in college. We would soon be on the fast track to beginning a new & exciting life together. So, here we are! We are blessed & fortunate to be building a life toward all we've dreamed of. God is guiding us down the most amazing path, & we're so excited to be on this journey with one another & with all of you!
