Cancun International Airport: CUN

Cancun International Airport (CUN) is the airport to fly in to. It is approximately 40 minutes from Playa Del Carmen. There are hotel shuttles, private shuttles, taxis, and more affordable public shuttles (ADO bus) for transportation from the airport to Playa Del Carmen.

Traveling from Cancun to Playa Del Carmen

The drive from Cancun to Playa Del Carmen is about 40 minutes. There are several options to get from the airport to PDC, including taxi ($$$), hotel shuttle ($$), and ADO bus ($). Taxis can be found at the airport on arrival. Bus tickets can also be purchased at the airport once you arrive. Hotel shuttles need to be scheduled in advance. (Marshall and I have taken the ADO bus from CUN to Playa Del Carmen and it is clean, comfortable, relatively fast, and super cheap!)
