We recommend arriving a day before the wedding to settle in and enjoy the festivities.
The wedding ceremony and reception will be held at El Pueblito Mayakoba, approximately 15 minutes from downtown Playa Del Carmen.
Please RSVP by no later than January 31st, 2026 :)
Plus-ones are indicated on your invitation when you RSVP on our website. Due to limited space, we cannot accommodate all guests to have a plus one. However, if you have any questions or think there might have been a mistake, please reach out!
We adore your kids- we really do. However, due to limited space and nature of the events, we are not able to accommodate children under age 13 at the wedding ceremony and reception. Children are welcome at any of the other wedding events over the weekend (welcome party, pool party). Our wedding planner has access to professional and reputable childcare services should anyone require them, please let us know. The resort also provides professional childcare services for an additional fee. The Riviera Maya is a very popular travel location for families, and childcare is a vetted part of the tourist industry in this area, especially within resorts.
Attire suggestions can be found on the events page- however, there is no "dress code". We want you to feel fabulous but comfortable. Wear whatever you feel best in.
Yes! Please see the travel page for information about our room block at Mahekal Beach Resort as well as other accommodation suggestions.
Please reserve your room through the room block by January 31, 2026 :)
The room block does not include all-inclusive, but there is an option to add all-inclusive for an additional fee when you check-in to the resort, if you desire!
You can ask us (Marshall or Kim), we may have the answer to your question. Otherwise you can contact the reservation department at Mahekal: reservations.mhkl@gsf-hotels.com or by calling +52 984 873 0611, Monday–Friday during business hours. Additionally, visit the link below for more details regarding the room block, including upgrade options and occupancy policies. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1en4eFwABIJQzq4mJW-LNQYxlmmw5IV0Z/view?usp=sharing
Yes- there will be a shuttle from Mahekal Beach Resort to the wedding venue (El Pueblito Mayakoba) and back to the resort following the reception.
It is approximately 15 minutes by car.
The wedding venue is within a separate resort that is gated and requires approved access- so while it is probably doable to take your own transportation, it will likely be easier to use the shuttles we are providing :)
Totally understandable question! Long story short—yes :) We’re getting married in a beautiful, secure resort area that regularly hosts destination weddings and high volumes of tourism. The Cancun and Playa del Carmen areas see heavy tourism and have strong security presence. While petty theft and pickpocketing can happen—like in any popular travel spot—violent crime is extremely rare. We feel really good about it and can’t wait to celebrate with everyone there!
