LET'S GET MARRIED

Q & A

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to text or call us – we’ve got you!
Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be a formal affair with a spring soiree vibe. For men, a tux or suits are preferred. For ladies, floor-length gowns or formal cocktail dresses are preferred — fun spring colors are highly encouraged!! That said, you are absolutely not required to buy anything new (in this economy!). If you've got something in your closet that fits the vibe, go for it! Please refer to the 'Attire Guide' tab for inspo. Note for the ladies: The ceremony will be on gravel, and the reception will be on a paved pavilion. Wear the cute heels! You'll be okay.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM. We’ll start serving pre-ceremony bubbly at 3:30PM, so we kindly ask guests to arrive between 3:30 and 3:45PM to grab a glass, find a seat, and settle in before the ceremony begins.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Adults only. You’ll thank us after the third round of espresso martinis. We deeply appreciate your understanding and know this may require accommodations. Thank you for celebrating with us!

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We’re lucky to have so many amazing people in our lives — which made narrowing down our guest list a serious challenge (ya'll know this). We are only able to accommodate those who are specifically named on the invitation or listed when you RSVP.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Ceremony will take place outdoors, followed by an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour, and the reception outdoors under a tent. However, if the weather isn't on our side then the ceremony will be moved to under the tent as well. The inside of the gorgeous VanLandingham Estate will be open to all guests throughout the evening and is where the restrooms can be located.

Question

Is there parking available?

Answer

Yes, parking is available at the Holy Trinity Church, located next to the VanLandingham Estate and there is limited parallel parking is available on the surrounding neighborhood streets. However, we highly recommend using ride-share services such as Lyft or Uber or hopping on our shuttle!

Question

Do you have a room block?

Answer

Yes! Hotel blocks are reserved at Charlotte Marriott City Center and Hilton Charlotte Uptown. See the 'Travel' tab for discount codes and direct booking links.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

There will be a shuttle leaving from the Charlotte Marriott City Center (100 West Trade Street, Charlotte, NC 28202), scheduled for departure at 3:00PM to the venue. At this time, we will have shuttles departing from the venue to the after party spot only after our reception. If anything changes, we will update here!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We paid good money for a talented team to capture all the goodies and will be having an unplugged ceremony. So we kindly ask you to be fully present as we say ‘I do' — no phones, cameras, or iPads (looking at you, Grandma Sandy). After the ceremony, feel free to let it rip!!

Question

Vibe Check

Answer

We now interrupt the traditional FAQs to bring you the answers you really want to know. Open Bar? Duh. Pace yourselves - we won't. Is Doobie attending? Duh, again. Live Band or DJ? As much as we love a good live band moment, only a DJ could understand our assignment: 2000s club rat vibes. Any singles attending? Text us for the roster breakdown — we'll let you know if it's worth shooting your shot.
