FAQs

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your kids, our reception is an adults-only affair with the exception of our flower girl and ring bearer. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time for your children and hope you can still come celebrate with us, but we completely understand if that impacts your decision to attend.

Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

We are collecting RSVPs online! Go to our "RSVP" page at the top and enter your first and last name. You will be taken to a page to click "will attend" or "will not attend" for yourself and your guest(s). You will then be able to make your meal selection if you are attending, as well as any dietary restrictions. Please text Jess at (484) 832-1549 if you have any trouble RSVPing online!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is semi-formal attire, which means tuxes and gowns are welcome, as well as suits and cocktail dresses. Just be comfortable!

Question

Do you have hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We have reserved rooms with special discounted rates at the Hampton Inn and Hotel Warner, which can be found on our "Accommodations" page. There are many other hotels in the West Chester area if you choose to stay somewhere outside of our room blocks.

Question

How do I get to the reception venue from the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend driving or taking an Uber, as the church is a 25-minute drive from the reception venue. A shuttle service is available before and after the reception to shuttle guests of the Hampton Inn and Hotel Warner to and from Penn Oaks. More information can be found on our "Travel & Parking" page.

Question

What should I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

We recommend using that time to check into your hotel, if applicable, or visiting the Marquee Bar & Lounge next to the Hotel Warner in downtown West Chester. Penn Oaks will open a cash bar at 4 p.m. until our open bar starts at 5 p.m. More information can be found on the "Travel & Parking" page.

Question

What food will be served at the reception?

Answer

Come hungry! There will be a variety of food stations during cocktail hour, as well as sweets and snacks served throughout the night. Dinner is a plated sit-down meal with three choices: Tuscan chicken, bourbon BBQ salmon and butternut squash ravioli. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies or need to know more about vegetarian, vegan or gluten-free options, please text Jess at (484) 832-1549.
