FAQs

Question

Where is the best place to stay on the island?

Answer

We recommend staying in one of the many villas or private houses on the island to get the full Kiawah experience. If you have other friends or family traveling to the wedding as well, booking houses/condos with multiple groups is a great way to spend the long weekend in Kiawah. There are also individual rooms at the main hotel on the island, the Sanctuary, available for booking.

Question

How do I book my accommodations?

Answer

Guests can call 1-866-763-5056 for assistance with reservations. They will be connected to a reservations agent at that time. They should tell the agent that they need to book a villa/room for the Harris-Bobo Wedding or use code 547 to receive 20% off nightly rates on villas and homes and 10% off rooms at the Sanctuary. For guests booking online, you may note in the comments section the wedding name and include the booking ID code, however, the reservations will not be automatically or immediately linked with the wedding group or secured at the group rate/discount at the time of booking but will be manually linked later.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

No, we kindly request that you do not bring anyone who is not formally listed on your invitation.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Transportation to and from wedding related events will be provided. There is a shuttle that operates 24/7 for anyone staying at the resort properties. Ubers are NOT available on the island so we recommend using the shuttle or renting a car for the weekend. You can access this shuttle by calling the Sanctuary Front Desk (877) 683-1234. If you wish, you can schedule Ubers ahead of time for transport to and from the airport.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Weather in Kiawah this time of year is fairly mild. Historically, early November temperatures stay between 50 and 70 degrees with little to no rain forecasted.

Question

Are children allowed to attend?

Answer

While we love your little ones, unless they are in the ceremony we kindly ask you to leave them at home.
