Brandon and Sierra met online while Sierra was just beginning her senior year at the University of Colorado and Brandon had just moved out to Boulder from New York for the rock climbing. Sierra was a little apprehensive about going out with Brandon because he kept suggesting the first date be something outdoorsy like rock climbing at night on the 2nd Flatiron, and Sierra was, of course, intimidated by that. Eventually Sierra agreed to a less risky date and they went to dinner on Pearl Street and connected immediately. October 3rd is the anniversary date they've been celebrating since it was the start of their relationship.
Brandon and Sierra moved in together in the summer of 2016 after Sierra graduated from CU. They started to adventure more on dates that included snowboarding, ice fishing, hiking, and climbing. After a year of living in Boulder, they decided to move a little further east to Lafayette for some more space and have lived there happily since 2017. In 2019, they adopted two rabbits named Poppy and Guppy, and they have brought so much joy to their lives. In between work and graduate school, Brandon and Sierra have travelled abroad together and picked up new hobbies like mountain biking and pickleball. They look forward to what the next chapter holds!
After 6 and a half years together, Brandon knew Sierra was more than antsy for a proposal. So when Sierra scheduled a last minute couples photoshoot with a photographer friend who was coming to town, Brandon knew this was his chance to pull off a surprise. Brandon was able to secure a ring and a plan to surprise Sierra during the beginning of their photoshoot by kneeling on one knee behind her back. The whole moment was captured beautifully in pictures and Sierra was so surprised! Of course she had hopes that this would happen soon, but she didn't have suspicions since the photoshoot was planned so last minute. The proposal turned into their engagement shoot so the photos captured their real emotions of just getting engaged!
