Meet the squad who are walking down the aisle with us!

Patrick Ahmar

Bridesman

I’ve known Thai since kindergarten. We’ve been BFFs for as long as I can remember (or at least as long as my memory hasn’t blocked out any embarrassing moments). We’ve been through pretty much all highs and lows together. From our countless late night calls (i.e. her telling me about her crazy stories and me offering my usual wise advice), all the amazing trips we took, our game nights (with our telepathic charades skills), the memories that come to mind are endless! She’s probably the most creative person I know, always going out of her way to make sure her loved ones are spoiled. I’m so excited for her and Dan’s wedding and I’m honoured to be part of this magical moment.

Pravina Patel

Maid of Honor

Thai An and I met back in 2006 when I was her boss at work and we quickly became close friends. Since then we’ve shared unforgettable adventures including trips to Greece and Thailand that deepened our bond. Even though we live in different cities, our friendship has stood the test of time, strengthened by our daily 8 am phone calls on our ways to work. Thai An has been there for me for so many of my big moments, and I am truly honoured to be part of her special day. I look forward to sharing many more memories together.

Valerie Larochelle

Bridesmaid

Thai An and I go way back to our Cegep (college) years, where we embraced our shared love of dancing, traveling, and dining out! From Montreal to New York, Las Vegas, and Myrtle Beach, I've come to admire her as a smart, fun, and open-hearted friend. I know she'll make the most supportive wife and life partner. Here's to a long and happy life for the beautiful couple!

Carol Chik

Bridesmaid

I first met Thai An about 20 years ago when she walked into the store where I was working. I remember being taken aback by her outgoing personality but it was that same charismatic energy that won me over and I knew then that we would become close friends. We’ve shared many memorable moments together since then, from tequila shots in the back store, to co-hosting the most unforgettable fundraising NYE party, to trips to Myrtle beach and parties in her mom’s penthouse, the list is endless. Throughout the years, she’s travelled all over the world but every time we were reunited, we would pick up where we left off and it would feel as though she had never left. I feel so honoured to be a part of this special time in her life, and cannot wait to celebrate her and Dan’s love.

Jake Wieder

Best Man

As Dan’s younger brother, separated in age only by a little over a year, we grew up very close. From a very early age, Dan and I were involved in team sports, where we competed together in football, basketball and baseball. Knowing that I was the better athlete, Dan was always quick to pick me to be on his team when it came to backyard football or pick-up basketball games. After high school, we attended Penn State University together, where I worked extremely hard while I never once saw Dan open a textbook. Dan and I still share the same passions around Penn State football, playing golf together, and spending time with our family. As we grew older, Dan became a significant influence in my life and I have tried to keep up and follow in his footsteps.

Scott Matchette

Groomsman

I became friends with Dan in 8th grade playing team sports together. We became close friends in high school, enjoying everything from pickup basketball games to team projects in eleventh grade physics class. Senior week was a post graduation tradition of spending a week at the beach with friends – my parents only granted permission to go if Dan was going; and Dan's parents granted him permission to go only if I was going. We remained close friends throughout college together at Penn State (too many stories).  Since then there's rarely been more than a short stretch where we haven't seen each other in the Lehigh Valley, London, NYC, a mutual friend's house or weekend getaways (such as NOLA and Lake Wynona, PA – more stories).

Ryan Jacob

Groomsman

I became friends with Dan as roommates at Penn State. Together, we founded one of the university’s most prominent beer pong teams, capturing a campus championship senior year. As young professionals living in different cities, we were frequent weekend travel buddies, making good times from Atlantic City to San Diego and a few places in between. Over the years, I have also proudly served as a mentor to Dan in the lifestyle arts of cigar management and bar room etiquette.

David Kraus

Groomsman

Dan and I grew up together playing sports with our group of ten boys living in the neighborhood. In high school we were not yet close friends… mainly because I was hesitant to befriend the guy dribbling the basketball through the halls of our high school. It wasn’t until college at Penn State that we solidified our relationship, and our shared camaraderie with the groomsmen. On the first night I met Thai, she was wearing ripped jeans and two different colored shoes for a 90s themed concert and I didn’t know what to think. But after seeing her dance the night away and laugh with Dan, I knew she was right for this basketball dribbling fellow.
