PVD / BOS

The closest airport is Providence (PVD), which is about 25 miles from Newport and has plenty of daily flights from major airports on the East Coast / Midwest. From there, you can either rent a car or take an Uber/Lyft to Newport. You can also fly to Boston (BOS), which is about 70 miles from Newport. If you fly to Boston, we'd recommend renting a car to get to Newport. You could also take the Amtrak train to Kingstown, and then take an Uber/Lyft to Newport.

Airbnbs & Lodging in general

There are a ton of Airbnbs in and around Newport, and they tend to be more affordable than hotels. Downtown Newport (near Thames Street) is very walkable, and if you stay in that area, you'll be able to walk to all the wedding events! However, it's also the most expensive area. If you're looking to get the most bang for your buck, we recommend looking into options that are a ~10-15 min drive from downtown -- it's very easy to drive or Uber around! Getting Around Newport

You don't need a car to get around Newport - the main downtown area near Thames Street is very walkable, and Uber / Lyft is a cheap and easy way to get around. However, if you'd like to rent a car, you can find parking downtown, as well as at popular sites.
