Do you remember? Deep in the heart of Texas is The Alamo. You can get in for free, but you most likely need to pay for parking. There is an attached museum that you can visit if you want to. Pro tip- there is no basement.
Classic downtown San Antonio tourist location. Enjoy strong and large margaritas on the patio, or go for a walk up and down the river. There is lots to do and lots to eat, and it is walking distance from the Alamo. There are also lots of hotels down here if you are looking to stay downtown.
Plenty of shopping and good eats in this area. Very pretty too if you just want to walk around! Parking is free.
This is a cute area to walk around and go window-shopping (or actually shop). There are lots of boutiques and fun food to eat. On weekends there is a farmer's market. Parking is usually paid unless you get lucky.
It's a zoo. It's no Brookfield Zoo but is it fun! There is a new gorilla exhibit.
When it is not 400 degrees outside, we like to go hiking here! It is very scenic and peaceful. Bonus points if you make it to the top of the hill. Don't get lost.
This is a good spot if you are wanting to do some light shopping, eat some good food, or go to the movies. Also, HEB is here- try the tortillas.
This is a bit of a drive, but worth every minute. It is a chaotic but authentic Texas experience. The brisket sandwiches will change your life. You can get anything here, from snacks to camping equipment to a full outfit that you can show off to your friends. You can also fill up on gas.
