We're gettin' hitched!

It was the 4th of July Weekend the summer they graduated high school. They met at a mutual friend's house at Cedar Creek Lake, and pulled an all-nighter talking until the sun came up. Two days later, Tess left for her cottage in Canada, and stayed to pursue her first year of university in British Columbia. Dillon finished his summer in Dallas, and headed to the University of Oklahoma for the fall. Throughout the years they kept in touch, (some would say crushing, from afar) until they both graduated and moved back to Dallas. A couple dates and a pandemic lockdown later, and the rest is history!

After hiking Cadillac Mountain in Acadia National Park and walking around Bar Harbor, they returned to their glamp-site to freshen up for dinner. They were ready "a little early" and needed to "kill some time" before their reservation. A walk down to the water sounded nice, but before she knew it, he was down on one knee! After some tears, a few face time calls, and a whole lot of hugs and kisses, they changed into sweatsuits and went to their dinner reservation! Slightly underdressed but absolutely beaming, they enjoyed some of Maine's finest seafood at a table by the water, complete with a handpicked bouquet of fresh flowers for the newly engaged couple. The whole weekend was magical.
