The campus is beautiful and it's where we are teaching! Our offices are in Talbot Laboratory, which is in the engineering quad. Both the engineering quad and the main quad are beautiful places to walk around!

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

On Saturdays from 7 am - 12 pm, Urbana has a great farmers market with lots of food trucks. If you're staying in Champaign-Urbana and want to get a local flavor before brunch starts, this is a good place to go!

Downtown Champaign is the most concentrated area of restaurants and bars in the region, and is a nice place to walk around!

A fairly short walk around beautiful gardens for those who want to explore! This is owned by the University of Illinois and is very family-friendly.

University of Illinois Arboretum

This is the venue for the wedding, but it's also an incredible park that's worth exploring! There are 1,500 acres of woodland and prairies, a 10-acre meadow, several formal sculpture gardens, and 14 miles of hiking trails.

Allerton Park & Retreat Center

A good spot for kids! They have train rides every Saturday and Sunday in the summer, open to the public. They have vintage diesel and steam locomotives.
