Question
What kind of transportation is available?
Answer
Mount Desert Island (where Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park are located) is very car-dependent. Please be aware that Uber/Lyft/ride shares are virtually non-existent on the island. There will be transportation to and from the venue provided for guests staying at either the Explore Acadia Cottages or High Seas Motel for the night of the wedding. The shuttle will be picking up guests at the times below (+/- 5 minutes). There is a separate winery on-property at the venue (Bar Harbor Cellars Winery) that should be open 12pm-6pm the day of the wedding if you would like to check it out if you arrive early. See the schedule for the shuttles to the venue below. Please arrive 5 minutes before the listed departure time. The last shuttle will arrive at the venue at 3:30pm, the ceremony will begin at 3:45pm. High Seas Motel: Departs at 2:25pm, 2:50pm & 3:15pm Explore Acadia Cabins: Departs at 2:35pm, 3:00pm, & 3:25pm Shuttles from the venue back to each location will begin around 8:00pm and run as needed through the end of the night.

What day should I arrive?
Answer
We will be staying in the area for a full week (June 4-11, 2025) to give us time to explore the area + National Park with our friends & family, but please plan to come for as many or as few days as you'd like! The wedding ceremony + reception will take place on Saturday, June 7th. Check out the "Schedule of Events" tab to see what we have planned!

Where should I fly into?
Answer
There are a few different options for airports near Bar Harbor: Portland, ME (PWM): ~3 hours away Non-stop flights connecting from several major airports (D.C., Newark, Chicago, Philadelphia, etc.) on various airlines. Bangor, ME (BGR): ~1.5 hours away Non-stop flights connecting from several major airports (D.C., Newark, Chicago, Philadelphia, etc.) on various airlines. Hancock County Airport (BHB): ~20 minutes away Smaller regional airport only accessible via connections through Boston.

What will the weather be like?
Answer
Weather in Maine can be quite variable! Early June in Bar Harbor typically sees highs in the 60s/low 70s during the day and lows in the 50s at night.
