As of now, we are extremely confident that the show will go on! TPC Sugarloaf is currently hosting events and weddings every weekend. With this, they are being diligent in implementing practices and policies to ensure guest safety (specifics given below).
TPC Sugarloaf has been implementing strict and extensive sanitation guidelines since inception of the COVID-19 outbreak. This includes required mask use by all staff, wiping down of equipment (especially railings and door handles) multiple times per day, and use of clear dividers at food service stations and most high interaction points. The wedding ceremony is located outside on the country club lawn. This inherently provides greater ventliation versus an indoor ceremony, providing safe and proper airflow between guests. In light of social distancing protocols, the Webb family has reserved all 3 ballrooms for the reception, which allows more space between tables. Guests will be seated in groups of 6-8 rather than a standard 10 at each table. Masks will be optional at both the ceremony and reception. We encourage you to wear one if it provides personal comfort and/or you are concerned about attending!
The CDC does not have a limit or recommend a specific number of attendees for these types of events and instead encourages event organizers to focus on ways to limit people’s contact with each other. Precautions listed above are being implemented in light of this.
As always, we encourage our wedding guests to be diligent in hand washing and avoiding touching their faces. Standard, simple precautions go a long way, even outside the realm of large events!
