Question

What should I wear!?

Answer

We asks the guests dress in Cocktail Attire for our wedding. Suits, cocktail dresses or dressy separates are great. We ask that guests please NOT wear the colors white OR green!

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love all of your children and they have been in attendance at many a Dipsgiving, bookclub, and every event in-between we (and the Hagley Museum) ask that no children attend and they will not be included in your formal invitations.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside, weather dependent. Dinner and the rest of the reception will be inside. In early October, generally the highs are in the 70s and lows in the 50s. If you think you will be cold, please bring a jacket or wrap.

Are there accommodations near the venue or hotel room blocks?

Answer

We do not have a hotel block, so please feel free to explore our Travel Section for hotel suggestions. If you'd like a different hotel or an AirBnB we recommend checking with Tess just to ensure you're in a fun, easy area of Wilmington!

Is there parking available near your wedding venue(s)?

Answer

Yes! Parking is available at not cost. Enter Hagley and follow the signs for the "Soda House" and park in the lower lot. You can then walk to the ceremony, or a bus will be doing pick ups.

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s)?

Answer

Yes, we will have more information closer to the date (check back Summer 2026)
