Travel Note
Two big things about driving in the Seattle area: 1) The drivers are terrible. I know many places say the drivers are bad but honestly please know when I say the drivers are bad....they are bad. 2) Within the last year, Washington state passed a distraction free driving law. The law extends to any distraction such as eating or drinking and texting/phone calls (you must be completely hands free). Since this is a newer law, but past the probationary period, cops are starting to crack down on the law. So please if you are going to be driving, do not eat, drink, or be on your cell phone.
Train
The light rail has a stop at the airport. From there you can head right into the heart of Seattle....without having to drive or find parking...
House Or Rental
We know traveling can get to cost a lot of money...quick...so another option instead of staying at a hotel, would be to rent a house for the week/weekend. It typically costs close to or lower than a hotel/motel, except you can typically get more room and then split with other people. For instance there is a 7 bedroom place that can sleep 28 people for $759.00/night. Split that evenly for 28 comes out to be $27.11 per person per night....
