If you have any questions that are not specifically answered here, please reach out to Teresa or Andrew for any clarifications or additional questions you have.
Question

How far away is the ceremony from the reception venue?

Answer

The total driving distance from St. Paul Cathedral to Pittsburgh Marriott North is 26 minutes. A majority of the ride is highway and involves little city driving.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

For the wedding ceremony - there is a small lot for church parking that we please ask be mainly reserved for guests needing to be closer to the entrance. There is ample on-street parking surrounding the cathedral, or surrounding garages for your convenience. Please note that some parking spot/areas will be paid parking (credit cards are taken). For the cocktail hour and reception - there is a substantial parking lot outside of the Marriott. Parking is complimentary for guest of the Leatherow-Plesniak wedding.

Question

How should I spend the time between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

There will be some time in between the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and reception. The drive from the the Cathedral to the Marriott is about 30 minutes, leaving around 90 minutes for guests to relax at the hotel, freshen up, switch their shoes, or floss. Please reach out to Andrew or Teresa for recommendations if any of the aforementioned activities are not of interest.

Question

Can I take pictures on my phone at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask guests to not use their phones for any reason during our ceremony, especially for photography. The Mass is the most important part of our day and we ask our guests to treat it with reverence and respect. We have a very talented photographer to capture our day and will share these pictures with our guests!

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

Please plan to arrive approximately 20-30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time (2pm) to find your seat and get comfortable. Please be mindful that you are entering a place of worship and we ask conversation to be delayed until after the wedding Mass. Please also silence your cell phone or secure it in your vehicle (we promise you won't need it during the Mass). Our time at the beautiful Cathedral is brief and we kindly ask guests to exit in short order following the final blessing so that the next wedding (4pm start time) can make preparations.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal attire, please and thank you! You will look ravishing! Please dress comfortably for all the festivities.

Question

What will the weather be like the day of your wedding?

Answer

What a great question! We have no control over the weather this day but are praying for sunshine, some light cloud coverage, a slight breeze, low 70s, and no rain. Please pray with us! Otherwise, know that all events will be taking place indoors. We recommend bringing an umbrella as there is no covered drop-off point at the church, but there is a covered drop off at the cocktail/reception venue.

Question

What gift can I bring the newly weds?

Answer

Your presence is present enough! If that is an unacceptable answer, we have a registry accessible from this site highlighting some items on our wish list. Thank you for your generosity!

Question

Where should guests plan to stay?

Answer

Please visit the "Travel" tab at the top of our wedding website for a variety of accommodations.
