We met virtually through eHarmony, and after talking through the website for several weeks we decided to meet in person. We had planned on meeting for brunch, but due to Abby experiencing a last minute call from work there was a sudden change in plans and instead met for sushi later that same day. We dated for several months and became "Facebook official" on February 2, 2020. Covid hit in March of 2020 which changed many things - including traditional "dating." We made a point to figure out a way to date "covid-style" including ordering dinner in and planning game and movie nights with each other. Bella loved it because it meant she was included in all of our plans! :) On August 28, 2020 Erik proposed to Abby at Ft. Harrison State Park. He found a scenic overlook on a hike in which we stopped and got down on one knee and asked Abby to marry him. He planned a full day with the hike, picnic, gondola ride, and dinner - all of which was a surprise to Abby. Unfortunately the weather messed up the picnic, but we were able to spend a memorable day with each other celebrating our engagement. We look forward to what the Lord has in store for our future together!
