Teo's Take: To me Lucas was the cute boy I would see as I walked out of Mrs. Merchent's math class 2nd period. So when I agreed to help my friend track down her mystery target for Senior Assassins at work, I was not aware it would be him until later when he messaged me asking what we were doing stalking him at work. Needless to say I was embarrassed but very excited to have a reason to speak to him. After that we lost touch for 3 years, until one faithful night Lucas decided to message me on Facebook, whist helped by some liquid courage. That conversation lasted about 2 or 3 hours followed by many subsequent conversations and video chats, until he decided he wanted to come visit me at JMU. From that moment until now, I have never been more sure of anything: I love this man. Lucas's Take: Teo and I first met right at the end of high school. We had gone to the same school since eighth grade, but somehow we never got acquainted until we were about to graduate and go off to college. I was interested in pursuing Teo, but as was typical of my love life at the time, I acted too slowly and someone beat me to it. Three years later, some (totally innocent) Facebook stalking revealed that Teo was newly single. I swooped in like a hawk that needs to practice its swooping and, for lack of a better term, slid into her DMs. Luckily I didn't make too much of an ass of myself, and dare I say she found me charming. We continued talking online for about a month, during which time I became more and more fond of Teo. I worked up the courage to suggest that I visit her at JMU, which she nervously agreed to. I visited her for a weekend and we hit it off, and then what followed were the five best years of my life. We went on adventures, faced multiple life milsestones, and grew as a couple and as individuals. The decision to ask Teo to marry me this past spring could not have been easier. I am beyond ecstatic to spend the rest of my life with my partner in crime and best friend.
