One of the best Mexican restaurants in West Denver. I highly recommend the Tijuana Birria - its one of the richest tacos you will eat.
Yak & Yeti
One of our favorite Indian restaurants in Denver. Saag paneer is one of Emily's favorite dishes here! If you don't feel like dinning in, this restaurant's take out is quality and portions are good.
bartaco
Great taco and cocktail bar where you order what you need from your table and don't need to track down a waiter. Absolutely try the duck birria here and order a brewed tea. Fantastic and tasty!
Sweet Cow - Ice Cream Parlor
Come get a bite of some of the best ice cream Denver has to offer. Plenty of classic flavors as well as fun flavors for kids. Jake and Emily have a must try IF in rotation - The Big Lebowski, a White Russian themed ice cream with a tiny amount of Kalua and vodka that gives it a soft-serve texture.
Edgewater Public Market
A shopping and diverse food court located right off Sloan's Lake. Equipped with a brewery, bar, 10+ court style restaurants and plenty of fun stores. Cool off and enjoy some bites in a casual public space.
Alma Fonda Fina
Enjoy a Michelin-star restaurant with contemporary Mexican cuisine. Elevated, cozy and books up quickly. Open, first-come first-serve option at 2pm on weekdays. We highly recommend looking for a reservation now.
The Ginger Pig
Winner of the Bib Gourmand, this Asian street food restaurant has a lot of options and a lot of flavor.
Blue Pan Pizza
Detroit-style pizza in a fun area north of Sloan's Lake - Sit down or take out. Gluten free options and plenty of fun shopping nearby.
Bonfire Burritos
Southwest casual burritos and street tacos. There is actually one of these opening right next to the listed hotel on our site. Just walk over!
Chubby Cattle Hotpot & Sushi
This is a cute, no frills hotpot and sushi restaurant located near downtown. Book ahead to ensure you get a table. Come hungry! This may be opening in a new location on Broadway by May.

North Table Mountain Park West Trailhead
A close by, easy-to-moderate hike with good views of Denver and Golden. Bring water, sunscreen and prepare for a moderate 600ft ascent to the top of the table.
Crown Hill Park
A city park that does not feel like one at all. Come explore the dirt and paved trails in this JeffCo Open Space. Lot parking, bathrooms and water fountains. Lake side loop and plenty of space to get melt away from the city.
Sloan's Lake
Convenient and plenty of parking around the lake. Paved trails that loop around the lake in one of the more popular neighborhoods in Denver. Stop by the Edgewater Public Market for a coffee or meal after your walk.
Denver Botanic Gardens
Enjoy a stroll through the Denver Botanic Gardens. Jake especially likes the bonzai displays.

To all the Austin folks, this is nothing new. Enjoy lunch/dinner and a movie with order in dinning and potentially reclining chairs while you watch a movie. A great pick for cinephiles or casual viewers. Look for special screening events for the weekend!

Mount Blue Sky Scenic Byway
Drive up to the top of a 14er and see some mountain goats and great views. Caution - 14,000ft has 40% less oxygen than sea level. Please be aware of the signs of altitude sickness and look into grabbing an oxygen can to ease symptoms.
Elk Meadow Loop - Intermediate Hike
5.2 mi loop hike with 500ft elevation gain. Bring water! It is easier to hike this loop clockwise, so as to climb in the shade, gaining most of your elevation early in the hike.
Echo Lake Park
Drive up and take a short hike around the lake with a view of Mount Blue Sky or take a longer intermediate hike on the Chicago Lake Trail. Access to Mount Blue Sky Byway.
