Maid of Honor
"I met Fatina while sauntering the halls of White Station Middle School. Since then, we’ve shared many milestones including graduating high school and nursing school, working at LeBonheur Children’s Hospital and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, as well as many travels both domestically and abroad. I couldn’t imagine not being there to help celebrate their big day!"
Best Man
"I met T Jones my 10th grade, his 9th grade year. I had known his cousins for a while, but I was just getting to know him. As we all know he is not a very hard person to figure out, because he is honest, straight to the point, and doesn’t spare anyone. After I graduated and joined the Military, our friendship went on pause as we moved throughout life (before the cell phone and social media, so it was more difficult to keep in touch). After I got out of the military, we reconnected and started hanging out, and that’s when we went from being friends to being brothers. So after over 25 years of knowing Telvarant, I can honesty say he has made a great impact on my life and helped me become the person that I am today. Telvarant may get on your nerves or rub people the wrong way, but that’s because he cares about his people so much. He’s very passionate, and he truly wants the best for them, and I wouldn’t trade him for the world."
Matron of Honor
"Fatina and I met and quickly became best friends in 9th grade band class and have been inseparable ever since! From the halls of WSHS to Zoom calls and texts we have been keeping each other laughing and uplifted with inside jokes and prayers for over 20 years! I am thrilled and honored to be her Matron of Honor on her special day!"
Best Man
"We met in school. He didn't like me, but I had no reason not to like him. We started to hangout, because we had a lot of the same friends. From there on, a friend became a brother. We've gone from riding in the Monarch, Cutlass, 300z, and Oldsmobile '98, dranking whatever we had to Cadillacs, Lexuses, Jags, and Benz, drinking the good stuff and smoking fine cigars. Man, how time flies. We've grown and only gotten better."
Bridesmaid
"Fatina and I met as students at Howard University. Funny enough, we did NOT hit it off after our initial introduction through a mutual friend, but soon enough we became the closest of friends. We've had so many hilarious memories over the years, one of my favorite being the time we pulled a prank on the same friend who introduced us. He had recently won a pageant at HU, and we decided the best way to humble him would be to break into his dorm room, and "abduct" his new crown and sash-which we did, then sent him ransom pictures afterwards. After he laughed about it, I'm sure he regretted ever introducing us, lol! We've shared laughter, tears, and the BEST shenanigans. Through it all, I am so grateful for our sisterhood, and I could not be happier for the future Mr. and Mrs. Jones."
Groomsman
"Jones has been a member of the family since he and my cousin were in high school. We started hanging tight about 10 years ago, and the rest is history."
Bridesmaid
“Fatina and I met at our undergraduate alma mater Howard University. From what I remember, we met via a mutual friend our freshman year. We found out we had a lot of similar interests and similar classes. We quickly became close friends and were inseparable all throughout college. Everyone knew if you saw Fatina, then I was somewhere not too far behind. We even dressed alike, Ha! Although we have parted in distance after graduation, we still remain great friends supporting each other through all phases of life. This occasion is no different and I can’t wait to stand with her at the altar as she marries her best friend. “
Groomsman
"I met T. Jones his first day at Southaven High School in 9th grade in Ms. Daniels' Biology class & we've been brothers ever since!"
Bridesmaid
"Fatina and I met in the fourth grade. We carpooled throughout middle and high school forming an incredible bond. Fatina and I have seen each other through college, relationships, kids…we are family. Some of my favorite memories of Fatina include laughing at Fatina checking folks at the lunch table, taking turns learning how to drive and finding out we are literal cousins. I love her so much and am so grateful to stand next to her on her big day!"
Groomsman
"I met Jones through my cousin Zed. We later reconnected through a mutual friend, who was his coworker. They had a group of coworkers who would get on the game. Our mutual friend would let me know where they were going, so I could come get my serve on. I've been showing up and showing out ever since."
Bridesmaid
"We initially met in high school but it wouldn’t be until 2007 where house parties and day parties reigned supreme, that we would ultimately bond and spend all our free time laughing, eating cheese dip, and dancing to ratchet music in colorful high heels. There has yet to be a time where I have been in the presence of Fatina, and not left feeling both lifted in spirit and in love."
Groomsman
"I met T. Jones through my cousins Terrence and Zed, playing basketball. We were probably around 17 years old at the time. Jones talked a lot of sh*t that day, and ain't nothing changed. We've been on the same team since then."
Bridesmaid
"I'm Telvarant's sister and soon to be sister-in-love to Fatina. I met Fatina through my brother and through the last few years of getting to know her, I’ve found her to be a very kind and supportive person who is passionate about her career. I admire that about her and look forward many more years of getting to know her. Welcome to the family sis!"
Groomsman
"Jones and I met in high school where we were teammates on the football team. Our friendship started out with a shared passion for sports, and we've been down ever since."
Bridesmaid
"I am Telvarant’s younger sister. I met Fatina when my brother introduced us to one another. Fatina is an intelligent individual with a heart of gold. She enjoys every moment that life has to offer. When she is around she’s always smiling and filled with laughter. I’m overjoyed that you will be a part of our family."
Groomsman
"Me and big cuz are family-our mothers are sisters, so we've basically been rocking since the womb. He has been teaching me the ropes for years and has always kept me on a straight path in life, business, etc. You can't pick your family, but you can choose the ones you are attached to. Big cuz has always had my best interest at heart, so if he calls, I'm on my way!"
