Wedding Party

Dylan Simons

Best Man

Robert met Dylan while they were both in the very early stages of their careers with the U.S. Navy, and they have been brothers ever since. Though they live far apart from eachother, they make it a point to regularly connect via their love of online video games (even as I type this the two are enjoying their nightly ritual of playing Rocket League online while talking over headsets). Since the two first met, Dylan has blessed Robert with a lovely sister-in-law, three nephews and one niece who are the light of his life. We are honored to have him be a part of our day!

Kristin Maddox

Bridesmaid

Kristin and I met while working together at McGee Tax Law, and quickly became fast friends. She and I worked closely with one another and built a solid team that easily transitioned to friendship outside of work. Kristin is such a genuine and generous person who truly loves and cares for everyone and I am blessed to now call her one of my best friends.

Kim Bentz

Bridesmaid

Kim entered our family on August 27, 2011 when she took the brave step of marrying my cousin, Ryan. I was blessed to finally have another girl in our family, one who blended so well and became my sister from another mister. She is ridiculously photogenic and despite the fact that she may upstage me in all of my wedding photos, I could not help but add this beautiful woman to my wedding party!

Ryan Bentz

Bridesman

I was an only child growing up, and while I never longed for siblings, I was blessed to have my two cousins, Michael and Ryan, who fulfilled the role of brother. With Ryan, I always knew I could count on him to threaten my ex-boyfriends and just all around make me laugh so there really was no better choice for my wedding party them him and Michael.

Michael Bentz

Bridesman

Michael and Ryan both fulfilled the role of brother to me while growing up. Though I didn't get to spend as much time with Michael as I would have liked, I always cherished and appreciated his presence in our family. My Dad's side of the family is very small, and when we lost my Uncle Malcolm, though we grew smaller, we grew closer as well. I hope to honor Michael and Ryan, as well as Malcolm, by having his boys in my wedding party.

Erika Martin

Groomswoman

From the very beginning of my relationship with Robert, it was always known to me how very special and important Erika was to him. Though she was a young teenager when Robert joined the Navy, they always had a close bond, one that was strengthened throughout tough times they faced together as children and continud to remain no matter how long they were separated. Erika has always been a source of strength and inspiration for him, and he was so proud as he watched her grow into this self-assured woman who was so unapologetically herself. There was no way Robert could get married without his sister standing beside him.

Nate Fielding

Groomsman

Nate is Robert's cousin and they were close friends growing up. Some of Robert's favorite memories where when the two of them would get together for pizza and game nights, playing Counter Strike for hours on end. Nate was a role model for Robert, and helped shape his views on what it meant to be a loving husband, father, and wonderful person. He is truly honored that Nate has agreed to stand with him on his wedding day.

Chris Taylor

Groomsman

Chris and Robert met while they were deployed to Japan in 2016 and it was a true "Bromance at First Sight," situation. I can't tell you my horror at discovering there was not only someone else out there eerily similar in personality to Robert, but that this someone worked closely with him. Robert and Chris developed a close friendship in the time they worked together before Robert left for Mississippi and they still continue to talk regularly, repeatedly engaging in GIF wars through Facebook Instant Messenger. So when Robert was selecting his groomsmen, he knew, without a doubt, that he wanted Chris to be a part of his special day. We are so thankful that he said "yes!"
