We are celebrating!

Their story began in March of 2016 at Wa’s birthday party, when he was back in town for spring break from his PA program in Boston. They had briefly met on several occasions through mutual friends, but their interactions had not extended beyond cordial hellos and how are yous. At the party, however, something clicked. Despite his hesitation about long distance relationships, Wa followed his instincts, gathered the courage, and asked Tee out to lunch the day before he left for Boston. She kindly declined since she was busy with work. He took it as a rejection as he made his way back to Boston Logan International, but still held onto the thought that perhaps he might get another opportunity to spend time with her someday. That opportunity came just two months later when Wa returned to town again. They met at the Driftwood Lounge, the first of many cocktail spots they would come to enjoy together, and from that evening on their story continued to move forward. With each trip back and forth between Boston and Portland, their relationship grew stronger. After graduating, Wa returned to Portland for a few months before they both moved to the high desert of Burns in the fall of 2017, where he began his career. Shortly after, however, Tee moved back to Portland for nursing school. This meant yet another chapter of long distance, only this time trading five hour flights for five hour drives across the rugged and vast landscape of Eastern Oregon. Different scenery, same commitment. As it turns out, distance really does make the heart grow fonder. Somewhere between the airports and the long Oregon highways, they realized this was forever. Wa eventually made his way back home to Portland in July 2019, bringing their long distance chapter to an end. He proposed on June 27, 2020, and they quietly tied the knot at the courthouse on June 6, 2022. Now, ten years after that birthday party, their journey has been shaped by the incredible family and friends who have supported, encouraged, and celebrated alongside them. They are beyond excited to finally gather everyone they love in one place and celebrate this milestone together. Your presence in their lives means the world to them, and they cannot wait to share this special moment with you.
