Question

What will the temperature be like?

Answer

Since it is late summer, the highs for temperatures could vary between 78 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit. The ceremony site will not be in the shade, so we advise wearing looser fitting clothing and sunscreen/hats, particularly for those sensitive to the heat. We will provide water bottles, bug spray, and sunscreen on site. There will also be a cooling station and an air-conditioned house for those who need those facilities for medical reasons. The current projection for the week of September 14 is a high of 74 Degrees Fahrenheit, but we advise being prepared for warmer weather. We will update this temperature as we get closer to the date of the wedding.

Question

What should I wear/what shoes should I wear?

Answer

We are looking for a semi formal look that is weather appropriate since it will be late summer and outside. Ladies can wear nice summer dresses, cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, etc. Since it is on a farm and will be grassy, we do not recommend heels-flats, platform shoes or block heels are advised. Gentlemen, we recommend button downs with tie, and light outer jackets that can be taken off if it gets hot.

Will transportation be provided to and from the ceremony/reception?

Answer

Unfortunately, no. Please feel free to make your own arrangements or let us know if you need to get a ride with someone and we'd be happy to help coordinate that. On-site will be provided and coordinated by ushers.

Is there a rain site?

Answer

Yes! in the event of rain we will relocate to the reception pavilion at Wolf Trap Farm, which is covered. If this contingency occurs, an usher will direct you accordingly.
