Best Man
Jacob and I met our first day of track practice freshman year of college. We both got there early and chatted on a bench outside of Mott. I specifically remember thinking “whoa this guy’s big like me, he must be a senior!” Only to find out he was a scrub freshman like me. I figured out pretty quick that Jacob was one of the hardest workers on our team and we became training partners. As I got to know him better, I learned that he was not only a great athlete but also an incredible guy. Our junior year we became roommates and got a lot closer (literally we shared a room!) My favorite things about Jacob are his fun-loving approach to life, his sense of humor, and his huge heart. Jacob will do anything for the people he cares about. I am proud to call him my best friend and best man!
Groomsman
I have known James since the day he was born! (although I will admit I was too little to remember it!) When we were growing up together James and I played the classic roles of victim little brother and bully older brother. However as we have gotten older our relationship has matured and we have become friends. My favorite things about James are his sense of humor, his care free outlook, and his heart of gold.
Groomsman
Erik is my soon to be brother-in-law! It has been great getting to know him over the last 2 years. I admire how Erik is constantly striving for self improvement and has a close knit circle of friendships. He also always kicks my butt at pool!
Groomsman
Sam and I have known each other since our days at Valley Vista Elementary School. We played every sport, took every class, and played every video game you can think of together. While we couldn’t be more different, 20 years later we are still good friends. Sam is the most opinionated and strong willed person I know. And while it’s annoying when we disagree, it’s great to know that I have someone like that to watch my back.
Groomsman
Jonah and I met in our dorm freshman year of college. Although he lived across the hall I swear he spent more time in our room than his. He quickly became our 3rd “honorary” roommate and one of my best friends. Jonah always keeps it real, always keeps me honest, and always keeps me laughing. One of my favorite memories with Jonah is also one of our most recent. Last summer we took a weeklong camping road trip through California and Oregon. It was an awesome adventure!
Groomsman
Tyler was my freshman roommate and my first friend I made in college. Thank goodness Cal Poly paired us together! This Alaskan and I have had too many fun times to count, but my favorite memory with Tyler is our road trip from Austin, Texas back to California. Tyler is a ton of fun, a hard worker, and one of the most loyal friends I have.
Groomsmaid
Sena and I met freshman year at Petaluma high school and she has been my best lady friend since. While we have many fun memories, one that sticks out to me is Sena and I working on essays and speeches for school and always practicing them standing up on our fireplace. Sena is fun, hard-working, and a soon to be doctor! She has been such a blessing in my life and I am so thankful that she is my friend.
Maid of Honor
Well if you don’t know Marley yet you’re missing out. This incredible women has brought wisdom and grace into my life for the last 8ish years and I couldn’t imagine my life without her! Marley and I got really close after a mission trip to the Bahamas together and ever since God has kept our friendship strong. She continually inspires and motivates me and I am so thankful she will be supporting me along the entire wedding planning process. Not only does Marley support my goals, but she also enables my *extra* side and that keeps our lives very fun (and sparkly). Our favorite joke is, “God didn’t make us sisters because he knew our moms couldn’t handle it.”
Bridesmaid
It has been an honor getting to know and love Allison as an almost sister! I admire the way she guards her heart and how selfless she is, especially with kids and animals. One reason I am so thankful Allison is in my life is because she is always down for fun activities like cards or paddle boarding which makes my life so full. I know if I’m around Allison that I’ll have a smile on my face because that’s the kind of gal she is.
Bridesman
The first thing Chandler said when I asked him to be a “brides-man” was, “I’ll wear a dress if you want!” because that’s the kind of friend he is. As my best guy friend he absolutely set the bar for what I should expect in a man, and for that I am forever thankful because it led me to Ted. When God put Chandler in my life I felt like we had been friends for 1,000 years already, and since then he has astounded me with his unconditional support. I know I’ll have him by my side forever, so I thought my wedding should be the same.
Bridesmaid
I knew she needed me in her life when she walked into our sixth grade history class in a nerdy blue monster shirt! Since then Oasis has continually been a pillar of love and support in my life and now, 10 years later, she has amazing fashion sense too. My favorite quality of Oasis’s is that she loves unconditionally (even when I’m tired or hangry) which just shows what a loyal friend she is. I am so blessed to have her in my life!
Bridesmaid
The first time I hung out with Hannah freshman year of college she brought me a vegan cookie because she heard I was also vegan, and I thought wow what a nice gal that’s so kind. Little did I know that wasn’t going to be a one time thing because Hannah is truly one of the most generous, loving women I know. Thankfully she is now my roommate and I’ve had so many incredible memories with her since. My favorite qualities of Hannah’s are a. her killer humor and b. her heart of gold
Bridesmaid
My little! Ever since the moment I saw Val I knew she was a slightly more unique version of myself and I’m so thankful to have her support on my special day. She continues to inspire me with her hard work and determination when it comes to all aspects of her life (especially her grades & her commitment to being a wonderful friend). Val probably made me laugh the most the day we were talking about my wedding/engagement and she “called” throwing my baby shower. There we have it folks she has dibs even though she’ll have to wait a few years before that happens!
Bridesmaid
Over the last few years Sherry has absolutely been a role model to me. She flawlessly graduated before me and found a new job and really set the bar for how to live a post grad life. Sherry has the best smile & I cannot imagine my college experience without her. My favorite quality of Sherry’s is that she is so supportive of others and always happy for my accomplishments. She is truly someone who makes my life brighter, not to mention Ted is so blessed to have her as a tenant.
