According to Henry, Samantha made the first move when she sneezed. He says it was the cutest sound he ever heard. According to Samantha, she made the first move when she gave Henry her number after a month of not running into each other while staying in the same hotel.
We woke up that morning feeling pretty under the weather. Sam started some chicken noodle soup in the crockpot and added collard greens to the soup which made our apartment smell awful (they taste so much better than they smell). She thought the trash was the reason for the smell in the apartment, so we worked together to gather the trash. While I scooped the cat box, she pointed out how great she is and that I'd have to marry her someday. I told her to go out into the hallway and she laughed me off and went back to putting a new bag into the kitchen garbage. I took the bag from her and led her to the hallway. She didn't take me seriously when I held both of her hands, or when I called her by her full name, she laughed when I asked her to make me the "happiest girl in the world". When I got down on my knee, took the ring out, and asked her to marry me, she realized I was serious and said yes. It was a day full of her doing the little things: playing World of Warcraft together, taking care of me, taking out the trash, doing all the regular life things together. All of this just made me realize that no matter how long I had the ring (2 months) or how perfect I wanted the moment to be, I couldn't wait another day to ask her to be my wife.
Still Henry.
