Frequently Asked Questions

If you don't see a question here that pertains to yours, please reach out to us.
Question

May I bring a plus one?

Answer

We would prefer to celebrate solely with the people we know and love. If you would like to speak with us personally about this, feel free to reach out so we can discuss.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love kids, but not at our wedding. Take this afternoon to celebrate with us while your kids enjoy time at home.

Question

How should I dress?

Answer

Our attire choice is "casual." For men, this means a pair of slacks and a dress shirt or polo. For women, casual can be a dress, sundress, skirt and blouse, or a nice pantsuit. We just request no sweatpants, leggings, or yoga pants - while we want you to be comfortable, that's just a little too informal for this event.

Question

Where will the ceremony take place?

Answer

The ceremony will take place at Historic Shady Lane, in Manchester, PA. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors - however, there is an indoor space available if that plan fails. There will be parking attendants and signs to help guide you to the ceremony space.

Question

Where is the reception?

Answer

The reception will also be located at Historic Shady Lane, in a large white tent. While the walk from the ceremony area to the reception is short, golf cart rides will be available to guests with decreased mobility.

Question

Will there be alcohol served at the reception?

Answer

No. Because we are having a dry wedding, all beverages will be non-alcoholic.

Question

Should I bring a gift?

Answer

We are not setting up a traditional registry, nor are we expecting any gifts from our guests. If you feel compelled to give, we will have a card box at the reception, and we set up a "Just Married" fund through this website.

Question

Will Covid affect the wedding?

Answer

We can't predict the future, but we can ensure that if it's up to us, the wedding will go on as planned. It goes without saying, if you are feeling ill the day of the event, please reconsider joining our celebration. We will make time to visit with you and your family when everyone is healthy :)
