In August '16 Faith was serving as UCF's LEAD LEB Director. On the 16th, Faith was helping host the pre-REEL Retreat Social alongside the other directors. In addition to 1st year students, the social event also consisted of the Retreat's counselors - Parker being one of them. Interestingly, Faith and Parker technically met one year prior at this same REEL Retreat. By chance, Faith met Parker and a few others during that first day, and spent a majority of the retreat with that group. After they returned to UCF, since Parker and his group all lived on-campus and Faith didn't, they never saw each other, with one exception later that year wherein Faith witnessed a stranger randomly fall off their longboard, who turned out to be Parker. Fast forward to August '16 and Parker noticed Faith standing at the front of the LEAD Lounge. Faith also took notice of Parker in his neon pink UCF tank top, and decided to sit near a friend of hers, Matt Chisholm (now one of our groomsman), who "coincidentally" was sitting at the same table as his close friend, Parker. Parker quickly initiated conversation with Faith and by the end of the event, they were both inviting each other to dinner with their respective groups (Parker's students and Faith's co-directors) that night. In the end, the two ended up attending dinner at Lazy Moon with the other directors and camp counselors - Parker saved her a seat, bought her food, and the two hit it off as they enjoyed their pizza. Later that night, Faith decided to initiate conversation with Parker by texting him that it was nice to see him, and to her pleasant surprise - Parker responded! The two ended up texting all night. The next night, while on the Retreat, the two spent the evening playing games with students, and the night ended with Parker walking Faith back to her cabin and kissing her goodnight. Both Parker and Faith returned from the REEL Retreat that next day with the knowledge and feeling that suddenly, Everything Has Changed.
