Dear friends and family, First and foremost, we hope this note finds you happy and healthy during a challenging time. We've been keeping busy finalizing the renovations on our new home, perfecting our recipes for homemade pizza khinkali, and participating in more Zoom calls than we ever thought possible. If you are receiving this letter, we have asked you to "save the date" for our wedding because you are one of the most cherished people in our lives. Due to the unforeseen circumstances of COVID-19 we have decided to cancel our wedding event as originally planned. Rather than trying to fit the wedding we envisioned into what is safe and allowable, we have decided to create the best wedding we can within those constraints. We will have an intimate celebration with our wedding party and immediate family. This will allow us to safely follow the recommendations for group gatherings, while also beginning our married life on October 17th. Although this is certainly not what we have pictured for our wedding day, we are excited to get married and spend the rest of our lives together. Friends and extended family are very important to both of us. It is our intention to invite you to an, we hope, celebrate together at an event in the second half of 2021. We will update you as that takes shape. We love you all very much, and although we are heartbroken that we won't see you on October 17th, we're counting down the days until we can be together again. With sadness, joy, and everything in between, Kyle & Rachel
