Unless your plus one was explicitly named on the invitation, we unfortunately cannot accommodate extra guests.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please be seated for the ceremony by 4:45pm. The ceremony starts at 5pm. If you are coming on the shuttle bus provided from the Seaport Hotel in downtown Boston (recommended), the bus leaves at 3:45pm, and you'll have just enough time for a refreshment drink before the ceremony!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes! We will be providing shuttle buses for everyone from the Seaport Hotel (1 Seaport Ln) in downtown Boston. There is only one departure, at 3:45pm, to the wedding venue. From the venue back to Boston, we will also have shuttle buses available. An early bus that can take up to 55 people will leave at 9:45pm and should get you back in Boston by 10:30pm. Two later buses leave at 11:15pm at the end of the night for a return around 11:50pm.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

For the ceremony and reception at Willowdale, dress code is cocktail attire. Heels are welcome (you will not be standing on grass), but please, no white outfits. Boston summer evenings can be hot at 78-85 F (26-29 C) degrees. But, under the sailcloth sperry tent where the reception is, it should be about 10 F (~5 C) degrees cooler than outside temperatures, and the cocktail hour will be inside the air-conditioned mansion.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a limited number of hotel rooms reserved for the wedding block at the Seaport Hotel where the shuttle bus pick-up and drop-off will be. More information on this is available on the Travel section of this website. Also, there are a number of hotels in or near the Seaport district where the Seaport Hotel is a short walking distance away, including Residence Inn by Marriott Downtown/Seaport, Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel, Yotel, and The Envoy Hotel Autograph Collection. Most hotels in the Financial District or Chinatown/South End should be about a 10-15 min taxi ride from the Seaport hotel, including W Boston, The Godfrey Hotel Boston, The Langham, and InterContinental Boston.
