Question

Do I need to tell you my flight information?

Answer

Yes please! It would be great to have everyone's flight information, so that we can help you find people to ride with or tell you where to check in. Once we have a really solid guest count, we will provide a link to a shared google doc where you can enter your own information and see what other people are doing. That's why it's really important to RSVP :)

Question

What happens when I arrive in Barcelona?

Answer

It's up to you how you want to get around Barcelona. We recommend that you talk with friends/family and see if there is a group who wants to get a rental car together. You really don't need it while you're in the city, but you'll probably want it starting Friday when we all go up the coast for the wedding. If you don't want to rent a car right when you fly in, you can just take a cab or the metro in to the city. We will also be collecting arrival times for everyone, so we'll be able to let you know if others are getting in at the same time and you can ride together! The wedding party (and a few others who have already spoken with us) will be staying in an AirBnB together in Barcelona. Kelsey and Bryan's parents will also have places to stay nearby. We will share the addresses with everyone on the website, so that you have a place to check in or drop your stuff once you arrive. Just let someone know if you are hoping to stop by their place :)

Question

Are there are any group events that I should plan around?

Answer

We will be hosting a Welcome Event/ Rehearsal Lunch at Gramona Winery on Thursday, June 20th in the afternoon. There is a train that goes from Barcelona to the town of the winery, so you don't need a car unless you want to have more flexibility in your schedule. The bachelor/bachelorette party is Thursday night (June 20th)! This event is open to more than just the wedding party, so let us know if you want to join! Most of us will be driving up the coast on Friday, June 21st to check in to AirBnBs. You don't have to come at this time, it's up to you. Saturday, June 22nd is the Day of Rest. Kelsey and Bryan will not make any plans, so people are welcome to make their own plans or come say hi by the pool or beach :)

Question

How will I find people when I get there??

Answer

PAY FOR INTERNATIONAL DATA! This is the most important advice we can give you. We have both traveled a lot with and without data... trust us, in this case it's worth it. We will not be posting an itinerary ahead of time, so if you're trying to meet up with us or others on the trip, the easiest way to do it will be to data available so you can call/text people. Additionally, it is really nice (and safer) to be able to use your google maps when you're getting around Barcelona and the coastal towns. We will not be providing directions everywhere, nor will we all be walking together all the time, so you need to be able to find your own way. If you really want to save money, you can opt to buy an international sim card, but that's definitely tricky for others because we won't know your new number. For most plans, international data is only $10/day (and only on the days that you use it).

Question

What if I need help finding a place to stay?

Answer

Honestly, it would be impossible for us to coordinate this for everyone, so please do your best. We are happy to help on a case-by-case basis, though, so just reach out if you need it. In Barcelona, your cheapest options are probably Hostels (and there are some good ones). After that, we would recommend looking for an AirBnB to share with a few other people. There are some really good options, and it's fun to stay with other people and have a kitchen, etc. The wedding party is staying on Diagonal (a main street), near Segrada La Familia, so that's a good reference point. On the coast, there are definitely good AirBnBs, although they are mostly in the surrounding towns rather than S'Agaro itself. In S'Agaro, there are some really cute beach hotels, or you can stay at La Gavina (the hotel where the wedding is). La Gavina is a pretty fancy hotel, so it's pricey. We will have some sort of discount for guests, so stay tuned. It will likely be $200/night or so.

Question

How will I get to and from the wedding venue?

Answer

If you're staying at a town outside of S'Agaro (where the venue is), we would recommend taking a cab to the wedding, or planning ahead with someone who plans not to drink. The wedding party will be staying about 15 minutes away, so we will work on coordinating rides if possible. We plan to keep dancing until the wee hours of the morning, so it shouldn't be hard to get a cab at that time. We will also do more research to see if there is a bus or van that people can use, so just be patient. Long story short, you're most likely on your own to figure it out, but there are plenty of options.

Question

Is this wedding open bar? And is there a full dinner?

Answer

YES! There will be far too much to drink and eat (no, that's not a challenge). Trust us, this is will be a marathon, not a sprint. Please drink responsibly and plan ahead with plenty of water :)

Question

What's the plan after the wedding?

Answer

We highly recommend you do not leave the coastal towns until Tuesday, June 25th. The wedding will go so late on Sunday, that you should plan on having all day Monday to recover. If you make the poor decision to fly home on Monday morning, we will not be available to help you get to the airport or navigate rides.... sorry! In the week following the wedding, we do not have travel plans yet. Rest assured, though, we definitely want to keep hanging out! We are not planning a honeymoon at that time, but instead want to keep partying and travelling with friends and family. So, make whatever plans you want and let us know! We'll join in for whatever we can :) We just won't be planning anything until we hear what others are doing.
