FAQs

Question

7:00pm ?!?!?

Answer

Since Cactus & Tropicals is a garden store by day, they host weddings in the evening. Doors will open for guests at 7:00 PM, so feel free to grab dinner or explore nearby until then!

Question

What Should I Wear?

Answer

Honestly, wear whatever makes you feel your best! Dress up, dress down — we don’t care, as long as you’re there! If you do feel like dressing up - think Garden Party Chic

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Our ceremony space is cozy and serene — perfect for “I do’s,” but not ideal for tiny voices! We kindly ask that children under 10 join us later for the party at the reception, where all ages are welcome to celebrate with us.

Question

Will Dinner Be Served?

Answer

We won’t be having a formal sit-down dinner, but there will be plenty of delicious food available throughout the reception!

Question

Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will both be held at Cactus & Tropicals in Draper, Utah — a gorgeous greenhouse filled with plants and twinkle lights!

Question

Is the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes! Everything will take place in one location so you can relax and enjoy the evening.

Question

What’s the weather typically like this time of year?

Answer

April evenings in Utah are usually mild but can cool off once the sun sets. We recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap just in case.

Question

Will there be drinks?

Answer

Yes! We’ll have a selection of drinks available to toast, sip, and celebrate the night away.

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Please refer to your invitation — if it includes a guest’s name or says “and guest,” we’d love for them to join!

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

Draper, Sandy, and Riverton all have great hotel and Airbnb options just minutes from the venue. The area is about 30 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. If you need hotel recommendations nearby, we have some listed under the "Travel" tab

Question

Where are you registered?

Answer

Instead of a traditional registry, we’re asking guests to contribute to our honeymoon fund to help us make lifelong memories together! You’ll find links to our Zola and Honeyfund registries under the “Registry” tab.

Question

What time does the celebration end?

Answer

The party will wrap up around 11:00pm, but we hope you’ll dance the night away with us until then!

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there’s free parking available on-site. Rideshares like Uber or Lyft are also a great option.

Question

What can I do while I’m in town?

Answer

Draper has amazing local restaurants, hiking trails, and fun attractions like the Living Planet Aquarium and Boondocks Food & Fun. We’ve listed a few favorites on our website!

Question

What time should guests arrive?

Answer

Guests may arrive starting at 7:00 PM. Since our venue operates as a storefront during the day, doors will open for the celebration at 7:00 PM — we can’t wait to welcome you then!

Question

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place indoors in the greenhouse. Please note that the space can become warm throughout the evening, particularly during the reception. Outdoor areas will be available for guests who’d like to step out for a moment, and we suggest bringing a light layer for comfort.

Question

Can we post photos online?

Answer

We would love for you to share photos from our special day! It means so much to see the celebration through your eyes. We’re also partnering with JamBooks to create a keepsake filled with your photos and messages. Simply text your pictures, memories, and well wishes to the number provided at the wedding — they’ll all be gathered into a beautiful book for us to treasure forever.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by February 1
