Our Journey

If you ask Cassidy for her side of the story, Eric cat called her; if you ask Eric, Cassidy cat called him. No matter the story, the night ended with hours of conversation and a true bond. Our story began in 2014 at ISU. Although it wasn’t love at first sight, our initial friendship grew into a beautiful relationship. Together we made memories and have had so many "first time" experiences. One of our favorite memories together was the U of I Hockey game with Eric's daughters. This was the first time Cassidy spent time with Ava and Abbie. Luckily for Cassidy, they talk as much as Eric. Starting off as neighbors, to long distance, to moving into a small apartment, we have grown and created a life together. In 2020, we bought our dream home (mostly for our dog Lady) and have made it our own ever since. On June 2nd 2021, we hiked the Chimney Top trail in the Smokey Mountains as we had done 5 years prior. To Cassidy’s surprise, Eric finally proposed! The rest is history.
