FAQs

Question

What does BYOB mean?

Answer

Bring Your Own Bread! A few incredible cooks in our family (and church family!) are making a WHOLE lot of soup for everyone, so we are asking you to bring your favorite bread product for us to enjoy! If you make bread, this is an incredible opportunity to prove it. However, we are also grateful for store-bought bread, because we (Sydney especially) just really like bread at all. This could also include casseroles and other creative "bread" dishes. If you're gluten-free, this means you get to bring bread you LIKE. We will work hard to prevent cross-contamination and will provide ingredients cards for everyone to fill out!

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

You can arrive as early as 4pm, and the ceremony will begin at 5pm. There will be yard games and beautiful scenery to take in!

Question

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

If you would like to bring someone with you and we didn't mention that on your invitation, please reach out to us. We are blessed with an incredible community, so space is tight, but we are happy to see what we can do.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Because we're getting married so close to Halloween, we want this to be an excuse for you to dress up in your best costume, Renaissance Faire attire, or just church clothes. Please prioritize your comfort! The wedding will take place inside, but there is amazing yard space to play frisbee and such, so we recommend wearing good shoes at the very least :)

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

They are both welcome AND encouraged. We're firm believers that if an event isn't kid-friendly, adults won't have much fun either.
