Our Love StoryOur Love Story

We met online in November 2023. Our first date was at a boba tea spot, which the workers kept open past closing time so we could keep talking (they could tell there was a spark). Since then, it's been hard to keep us apart for long. We bonded over a shared love of seafood, sculpting, travel, and art, and have kept falling in love more and more every day. I proposed in August 2024 during a trip to my hometown in Grand Junction, Colorado, during peach season. If you know Tea, you know they love a peachy treat! I surprised Tea by hiding their orange sapphire butterfly ring in a peach-shaped ring box. Then, I hid it in a bowl of fruit and told them to "see what the special treat was that the farmer left for us." We'd spent the whole day driving in the town, looking at the gorgeous scenery, and the whole time, I was just trying to keep it together so I didn't spoil my own plans!!! I spent many months on the surprise, and I was so nervous, but they said **YES** on a beautiful summer night surrounded by peach trees and stars. The next morning, Tea woke me up by unveiling their Alice in Wonderland Themed Wedding Pinterest Board, and we started planning immediately. We've been swept up in wedding planning ever since! Tea and I have an honest, fulfilling, challenging, and life-changing relationship. I have spent my life waiting for them to arrive, and I can't believe we get to spend the rest of our lives together. I used to think it was a cliche that "we make each other better people," but that's the truth in every sense of the word. We motivate each other, comfort each other, and are looking forward to a lifetime of growth and sweetness together. We can't wait for all of you to join us as we celebrate our love at this gorgeous venue.

Our special invitation sealOur special invitation seal

You might notice our invitations are sealed with a wax stamp from Ryn’s signet ring. The symbol is the white rose from the Death tarot card, which is tied to Ryn’s Scorpio sun sign and has come to mean a lot to us. Despite the spooky name, the Death card isn’t about loss. It’s about change, growth, and letting go of what no longer fits so something new can begin. Over the last couple of years, that idea has shown up again and again in our lives, in ways that brought us closer, clearer, and more certain about choosing each other. The white rose on the card stands for hope, renewal, and love that keeps blooming even when everything else is shifting. It felt like the perfect symbol to carry into this next chapter together. Thank you for noticing the little details and taking a moment to read this. It means a lot to us, and we’re so excited to celebrate with you.
