Please RSVP on our website by Monday, August 1st, so we can have an accurate headcount.
We recommend booking your room at the Castle by June 20, 2022 and at the Inn by July 29,2022. We will not be able to guarantee accommodations at the wedding rate there after. For more information about accommodations, please refer to the "Travel" section of our website.
As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception. However, we recognize that some of you will be traveling with your children. The hotel has recommended LMM for childminding/ babysitting services if you cannot find other accommodations for them. Please contact LMM at hello@lmmcare.com and they will be happy to assist you directly with individual requirements.
We plan to have our wedding ceremony and drinks reception outdoors. Dinner and dancing will be indoors. Please choose your shoes wisely! We’d recommend bringing a shawl in case the weather happens to be cool. If the weather does not cooperate, then all events will be held indoors.
Yes! You will need a current and valid passport to enter Ireland. Your passport’s expiration date must extend longer than the duration of your stay in Ireland. Also, Ireland requires one full empty blank page. Check your passport dates and empty pages well in advance of your trip because expedited handling fees to renew your passport are quite expensive!
We will make sure to update this section as we get closer to the date! For now, in order to enter the country of Ireland, you must show your vaccination card and a valid passport. Before boarding a flight to the United States, you are required to show a negative COVID-19 test result taken no more than 1 day before travel. We recommend purchasing Binax tests which can be completed in the comfort of your hotel room - https://www.emed.com/products/covid-at-home-testkit-six-pack
The weather in Ireland is unpredictable. They say Ireland has a wet winter, wet spring, wet summer, and wet autumn. While there’s some truth to it, it doesn’t rain all the time... (just about 150 days a year). More than an umbrella, what you actually need for Irish weather is a good jacket—even in the summer. When it’s raining, the wind quickly turns umbrellas into kites. Nevertheless, some days might randomly be hot but quickly followed by a cold spell. The best bet is to pack clothes for every type of weather.
Taxis are heavily regulated in Ireland. Only people with a taxi license are allowed to offer rides for pay. This means Uber, Lyft, and other ride-sharing apps are not readily available outside of major cities such as Dublin. Ask your hotel or restaurant to call a taxi for you (it will take about 10-15 minutes to arrive).
Renting a car in Ireland is more expensive than renting a car in the USA. Please make note that in Ireland they drive on the left hand side of the road. Please bear in mind that most cars are manual (i.e., stick shift) by default. Make sure to book an automatic transmission if need be. If you're unsure about renting a car and do not want to take public transportation, we recommend contacting Pat Keogh Chauffeur Service at info@pat-keogh.com.
Yes! If you have multiple devices to charge every night, you will want to bring along several power adapters just in case, to fit into the 230V Irish outlets.
Yes, if you plan to use cellular data then you will need to have an international phone plan. Most places (pubs, banks, cafes) have free public wifi, so it isn't too hard to avoid using cellular data if you want/ need to do so.
