Born and raised in Omaha, Taylor is an artist who loves cozying up at home with a good show or book, meditating and hiking. After graduating with a sculpture degree from University of South Dakota, she fulfilled her middle school dream of moving to Chicago and fulfilled with Stephen her high school dream of moving to San Francisco! Currently she is on the hunt for a new graphic design job, maintains an art practice and recently started a podcast! Taylor is incredibly thankful that Stephen walked into her life. Stephen's attention to his friends and family, curious mind and sense of adventure inspire Taylor to be more present for life's joys on the daily.

Stephen was born in Virginia, but has lived all over the country. After high school, he pursued an engineering degree at Northwestern University in Chicago where he deepened his love of photography, music, and travel. After five more years in the Windy City (with a brief stop in Pittsburgh for a Master's degree) he and Taylor moved to San Francisco, one of their favorite cities. Since moving he has done his best to adapt to the local culture by doing things like wearing denim jackets and talking about fog. He is currently working as a Product Development Engineer at June, a smart oven startup. Stephen is beyond thrilled to have found an adventure and life partner in Taylor. Her love of travel, energy for trying new things, curiosity about the world around them, support through all of life's challenges, and acceptance of his vinyl record collecting habits has enriched his life immeasurably.

The year was 2013 and we were two lonely singles living in Chicago. With nothing to lose, we both signed up for OkCupid to see what all the online dating fuss was about. Yet, the process was an arduous one. After kissing many digital frogs, we both were starting to lose faith - even when our profiles were matched online, we had low expectations due to a string of subpar dates with other matches we had recently gone on. That being said, each of us thought the other was ridiculously good-looking and somewhat intriguing, so we decided to give it a whirl. Stephen threw out the idea of taking Taylor to a fancy speakeasy because he thought she would be impressed. Taylor, thoroughly unimpressed by a fancy speakeasy and hoping for more of a dive bar type experience, showed up anyway. As we hugged and sat next to each other, we quickly realized there was quite a bit of chemistry. The time melted away as we talked about our families, discovered our shared interests of travel, music and design, and gained a sense of each other's personality. Taylor called her parents immediately afterwards saying she'd met someone exceptional. Stephen's call to his parents wasn't far behind. Almost 7 years, 2 apartments and 1 city later, we're taking the symbolic and legal plunge and would love to celebrate with you!
