FAQs

Question

What's the dress code?

Answer

Short answer: Cocktail! Long answer: While the wedding will be largely warm colors, you don't have to wear them. Just reserve solid white/off-white for the Bride. While this isn't a "southwestern / cowboy" themed wedding, we embrace the Southern spirit -- so if any gentlemen would like to wear their boots/hats, please feel free to, just as long as you remove your hats for the ceremony. The ceremony will be in a chapel, so kindly consider this when choosing your attire. If you're not used to Houston in summertime — dress light! While the wedding and reception will all be indoors, the cocktail hour is both indoor/outdoor. I encourage the ladies to bring comfortable dancing shoes for the reception!

Question

Will there be vegan/vegetarian/gluten-free/etc. options for dinner?

Answer

If you have a specific dietary or religious restriction, please email us at taylormadeboy.browneyedgirl@gmail.com and we will consider your request. Our caterer is awesome and is happy to make any accommodations we see fit!

Question

Why are hotel rates crazy?!

Answer

Because we're the luckiest people in the world, and Houston, Texas is a host city for the 2026 World Cup -- which begins on June 11th. Thankfully, there are no games happening on Saturday, so traffic should be the normal Houston level of unfavorable. We've scoured everywhere to secure hotel blocks with some of the best price points we've found ahead of time, so please take a look under the "Travel" tab to book a room in our hotel blocks to take advantage of these rates. **We HIGHLY encourage you to book your stay as soon as you know of your attendance, in order to avoid surge pricing as a result of the World Cup.

Question

So there's two venues?

Answer

Yes -- the 4:00 ceremony takes place at the church, Trinity Klein Lutheran, located in Spring, Texas. Following the ceremony, the rest of the day's festivities, including our cocktail hour, dinner and reception, will be at The Peach Orchard, located in The Woodlands, Texas, about twenty-five minutes away (see below for transportation details).

Question

What will transportation look like?

Answer

There is ample parking available at both venues. Since our ceremony and reception are in the groom's hometown, many guests will have their own cars, so carpooling is an option -- but rideshare services are also readily available in The Woodlands/Spring!

Question

What's the dance scene?

Answer

Like you even have to ask. ;) Yes, there will be line dancing. And yes, there will be a line of dance for two-stepping, three-stepping, half-stepping, foxtrot, WCS, steal circles or any other kind of social dance. So if that tickles you, be sure to bring your boots!
