7:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Red Sox shirts!!! (Guess who wrote this part of the website?)
When the Red Sox are ahead, Rachel can magnanimously say that we both love baseball and we just hope Asher does as well. Joe says the same thing when the Yankees are ahead. When our team is losing, we each scoot a little farther from the other on the couch. But whatever the standings-- truly-- we LOVE baseball, and the fact that our teams are playing each other on Asher's first birthday (Sept. 19) and right before our wedding is pretty cool. Unfortunately, we can't offer to fund this event for guests, but we would love to have you join us at the ballpark. RSVP for this by August 27 so we can reserve tickets.
5:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Whatever you would like to wear to a soccer game
Joe and I love soccer, and we love being season ticket holders of the New York Red Bulls. We went to a game two days before Asher was born, took him to his first game three weeks later, and have attended all of the games as a family since then. We would love to share our tradition with you! We'll travel together on the PATH train and sit together at the stadium. RSVP by August 27.
11:30 am - 12:15 pm
Beer Hall Chic? Family Fancy? We're going to dress up, in a somewhat dressed down kind of way. We suggest you wear clothes, fun ones, that make you feel happy and celebratory. There! That's it! You look great!
More details coming about where in the park we'll be. The park is a few short blocks from the beer garden, where we'll walk en masse after the ceremony. In case of rain, the wedding will be inside at Bohemian Hall. We'll send text and email alerts Sunday morning if that's the case.
12:30 pm - 3:30 pm
Picnic tables, pierogies, pitchers of beer. It's everything you ever dreamed of in that dream where you were wandering around Central Europe! The beer garden will be open to the public, with one large section of it reserved and decorated just for us. Lots of food, lots of drink, some music, many smiles, and a lot of fun. We'll be inside the hall if it's raining. Strollers are welcome and even advised, since there aren't high chairs available for the kiddos. And we will have a few babysitters to help keep an eye on the littles so parents can hang out a bit more!
