Kelly is a cousin and best friend of the bride from birth. How it started: They had matching baby ND outfits, performed Esmerelda dances, and took annual summer trips to the family cabin in Canada. How it's been going: They attended the University of Notre Dame together where Kelly convinced Kelsey to join the club Ultimate frisbee team. They became roommates both in college and Chicago, have traveled the world, and love spending lots of time together in Chicago going to patios with Poppy and debriefing Bravo/reality tv. Kacey is Kelsey's younger sister and best friend since birth. How it started: Kelsey would carry Kacey around everywhere and always wanted to play with her as a kid. They both enjoyed athletics, especially basketball, and cooking/baking together. How it's been going: Both entered the teaching profession, are a sucker for a baked good and will travel to try them, and enjoy checking out holiday pop up bars together. Best Man
Kevin's longest friendship. Like a fine bourbon, aged 27 years. Growing up only a few blocks away, Ryan and Kevin went from bike rides, pool hops, and rec sports to garage beers, joy rides to Wendy's, and even roommates in Chicago. Ryan is equal parts brother, teammate, and co-star in a lifetime full of tom foolery.

How it started: They met at St. John's in pre-school, played Firebirds soccer, took family vacations in FL, and had countless sleepovers with late night trips to Los Burritos at the Jaruseskis with Tani. How it's been going: Both live/d in Oak Park, taught at Baker together, and love visiting all the Chicago breweries and a good book rec. Kate can be seen busting a move to: Mamma Mia (or anything by ABBA)

Tani is one of Kelsey's childhood best friends. How it started: They met at St. John's in pre-school, and had countless sleepovers with late night trips to Los Burritos at the Jaruseskis with Kate. How it's been going: Both live/d in Oak Park, spent a Valentines Day or two together at Big Star & the Taco Bell Cantina, and enjoy trying lots of artsy things and fun bars and restaurants in Chicago. Jamie is one of Kelsey's best friends from grade school. How it started: They attended St. John's together, played sports throughout high school together (Noodle boilers forever), and watched my 600 lb. life while eating McDonald's weekly. How it's been going: While both living in Chicago, Kelsey has third wheeled the Bean's making homemade dumplings and tacos many times, they love going to breweries, and they enjoy grabbing brunch and walking the city together. Mel is one of Kelsey's best friends from high school. How it started: Mel would spend countless days at Kelsey's house, mastering the grill, watching seasons of Grey's Anatomy, and eating dinner with her family regulary. How it's been going: Mel and Kelsey took a trip to Europe after college, traveling to 17 cities together for over a month, visited each other wherever the other lived, and love to drink a hazy IPA on her boat at her lake house now. Allie is one of Kelsey's best friends from college. How it started: Kelsey lived next door to Allie freshmen year, where they quickly decided to ditch their random roommates and live together the next 3 years. How it's been going: After a group of us convinced Allie to quit rowing and join Ultimate Frisbee, Snuggs became a Taylo Sammy staple (which meant she was with Kelly and Kelsey at all times - except when Allie would go to the library, Kelsey avoided that unless it was to deliver q-dogs and candy). They have traveled to visit each other and gone abroad together after college, and chat weekly still making trips to enjoy wine, sushi, and friendship. Vicke is one of Kelsey's best friends from college. How it started: Kelsey was invited to pre-game in Vicke and her roommates dorm in college (#pigsknottbabes). Kelsey proceeded to share with Vicke she was nicknamed Tank in high school and Vicke immediately did not jive with that. How it's been going: After spending some serious time together on Frisbee (and Vicke coaching Kelsey through drinking her first disc), she was able to look past Tank and they became quick best friends. Kelsey visited Vicke's home in NY on fall break, met her family, earned a Hadlock name (Darla), and they enjoy lots of couch hangs in the Chicago area with family dinners and discussing Bravo news. Amy is one of Kelsey's best friends from college. How it started: Kelsey met Amy at her first Ultimate frisbee practice, where Amy convinced Kelly and Kelsey she had a cousin on the team as well (fake news). How it's been going: Kelsey spent many evenings with Amy and her friends at 520 and spent countless evenings at Ponader together in college. They both moved to Chicago, where they now live blocks apart and love wandering Lincoln Park, and frequently the local establishments such as the Zebra Lounge and Butch McGuires (where they once befriended the resident magician back in the day), and going to U Chicago bball games (go Roons!). Rachel is one of Kelsey's best friends from college. How it started: Rachel was also a member of the Ultimate Frisbee team. She came around a ton her senior year and Kelsey may have posed as a Rachel imposter a few times, in a few states, successfully. How it's been going: After spending countless nights at Ponader together, post grad Rachel (nursekirk/oldkirk) would come back and visit the frisbee crew in college frequently, as well as in Chicago, and they played club ultimate together after college. They have traveled across the U.S. together, played many a drinking game (they both may be a little competitive), and love chatting on a back patio, by a pool, or bonfire for hours debriefing reality tv shows like Traitors. Kim is one of Kelsey's best friends from adulthood. How it started: Kim interviewed me, hired me, and quickly became Kelsey's work wife. How it's been going: Kim and Kelsey joined the LGP pickleball league (& crushed it), started a lunch club at work as an excuse to eat together regularly, and spend a large majority of their waking hours together at work counseling the youth and talking about current events, tv shows, and plants. They love frequenting Hop District, sharing recipe and book recs, and indulging in self care hobbies. Kim can be seen busting a move to: Man I Need

Lauren is Kevin's older sister, and Kelsey's soon to be SIL. How it started: They met when Kevin brought Kelsey home in April of 2024 How it's been going: While spending time together at family events, in Homer Glen, and on trips to Florida and the Ozarks, they bonded over reality tv, 2000's angsty music, and good food and drink. They enjoy dissecting shows and sharing book recs over a bevvy, going to concerts at the Salt Shed, and ripping a random sports bet every once in awhile. They studied hard, did everything they were supposed to, and definitely never got caught underage drinking in the dorms.

Kevin's Chicago roommate. Dan met Kevin when Kevin was touring Dan's apartment with his current roommate who was moving out. Dan needed a roommate and Kevin needed a home. A match made in heaven. Covid struct early during the new lease and suddenly the world was shut down. Their relationship quickly turned to friendship and the rest is history. Thanks Facebook Marketplace!
