Shaw Nature Reserve
This is the location of Taylor's first job and the couple's first date. Near the junction of Highway 100 and Interstate 44, just ten minutes from the venue is Shaw Nature Reserve in Gray Summit. Purchased by the Missouri Botanical Garden in the 1920s, Shaw offers 2,400 acres of beauty in prairies, wetlands, and woodlands.
World Bird Sanctuary
The World Bird Sanctuary, twenty minutes east of the venue, protects and preserves birds and their habitats through conservation, rehabilitation, education, and advocacy. Visit in person to learn and see these birds up close.
Lone Elk Park
Lone Elk Park is a wildlife management area consisting of 546 acres with bison, wild turkey, waterfowl, elk and deer. Drive around for the chance of close encounters with the wildlife.
Rockwoods Reservation
Rockwoods Reservation is a 1,843 acres state forest and wildlife conservation area in St. Louis County, Missouri. It was established in 1938, making it one of the oldest Missouri Department of Conservation areas.
Saint Louis Zoo
The Saint Louis Zoological Park is recognized as a leading zoo in animal management, research, conservation, and education. In 2016 the St. Louis Zoo was named the “Nation's Best Free Attraction” by USA Today's 10 Best Readers' Choice Awards Program. The zoo was the only zoo featured on the list and beat out Central Park, in New York City, along with more than 20 other attractions.
Saint Louis Science Center
The St. Louis Science Center offers dinosaurs, water play, chickens and agriculture, science experiments, and many rotating interactive themes.
