I'm visiting from out of town. What can I do while I'm in St. Louis?

The 55th annual St. Patrick's Day Parade will take place on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at 12:00 PM in downtown St. Louis. Additionally, St. Louis is a family-friendly city offering free attractions such as the St. Louis Zoo and Science Center, world-class Missouri Botanical Gardens, or a thrilling time to be had at City Museum. Near the junction of Highway 100 and Interstate 44, just ten minutes from the venue is Shaw Nature Reserve in Gray Summit. Purchased by the Missouri Botanical Garden in the 1920s, Shaw offers 2,400 acres of beauty in prairies, wetlands, and woodlands. The World Bird Sanctuary, twenty minutes east of the venue, protects and preserves birds and their habitats through conservation, rehabilitation, education, and advocacy. Visit in person to learn and see these birds up close. Additionally, this is across the street from Lone Elk Park which allows you to view bison, elk, deer and more in the wildlife management area.
