Welcome Party: Resort Casual: sundresses or skirts, button-downs or polos with trousers. Comfortable attire for an evening by the sea. Wedding Ceremony/Reception: Semi-Formal: Men in suits or tuxedos, women in cocktail or floor-length dresses. Dress to CELEBRATE!

Are kids welcome?

We love your little ones! While we wish we could celebrate with every family member, we would love a chance for our guests to relax & celebrate together. Our celebration will be an adults only event. Thank you for arranging child care in advance!

Is there parking at Samoset Resort?

Yes. Complimentary self-parking is available, and valet is offered for overnight guests.

Will transportation be provided?

Yes. Shuttles will run between designated hotels and the Samoset Resort for The Maine Event, August 22nd, 2026.

Portland International Jetport (PWM) — 1 hour 45 minutes Bangor International Airport (BGR) — 1 hour 30 minutes The resort is easily accessible by car via US Route 1, a scenic coastal route.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Please arrive 30 minutes early to allow time for parking, shuttle drop-off, and seating.

Will the ceremony or reception be outdoors?

Answer

All events will be outdoors on the lawn, weather permitting. In the event of rain or inclement weather, they will take place indoors at the resort.

What is the typical weather in August?

Answer

Late August in Rockport typically brings warm days in the mid-70s and cooler evenings in the low-60s. A light wrap or jacket is recommended for sunset, although with New England weather, it’s always wise to expect the unexpected!
