Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love your kids—we really do. But we want our wedding to be your night off too! We have decided to make this an adults-only celebration. We hope you understand!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest," then yes! If it does not specify a guest in your invitation, then we prefer it to be just you!

What happens between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

The bride & groom, bridal party, and family portraits will occur before the cocktail hour… so we recommend our guests visit Monty’s Grill for a drink (located at our reception venue, Great River Golf Club) and / or check-in to the hotel & grab a drink at the hotel bar. If you’ve booked a room with our hotel-block, it’s only about a 15 min drive from the ceremony location and reception venue. Be sure to be at Great River Golf Club for 6pm … cocktail hour begins!

Is there parking for the ceremony and/or reception?

Answer

Yes! For the ceremony: Once you pull into the Sacred Heart University campus, take a right at the first stop sign and continue straight to the first parking lot on your left-hand side. You will see the Chapel on the left-hand side....only steps away from the parking lot! Reception: Great River Golf Club has it’s own complimentary lot with plenty of parking spots.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We have a hotel block at a hotel ~15 mins from the ceremony and reception location. Please see the “Where to Stay” page for the link to book your room at the Courtyard By Marriott Shelton (780 Bridgeport Ave Shelton, CT) There are limited rooms so please book as soon as possible. There are also several other hotels in the area. Hilton Garden Inn Shelton, 25 Old Stratford Rd, Shelton, CT 06484, is 15 mins to Great River Golf Club. Hampton Inn Shelton, 695 Bridgeport Ave, Shelton, CT 06484, is 15 mins to Great River Golf Club.

How do you pronounce “Gangi” ?

Answer

Say “Gan” as if you were rhyming with “Can” and then say the letter “G”. “Gan” “G” - Gangi. There ya go :) Gangi is actually the name of a small town on a promontory near Palermo, in Sicily, that became famous after being named one of the most Beautiful villages in Italy. It is a little gem, rich of history and traditions!
