In 2013, we found ourselves sitting in class for the first week of our freshman year at Sacred Heart University. That first day, we were prompted to talk to one another for a group project. After chatting, we quickly realized the amount of similarities we had. We both were commuting to campus at the time, we were from neighboring towns right next to one another, we both would be athletes on the track & field team, both specialized in the same running event, we would be studying the same major, and so on. Our friendship quickly blossomed into something much bigger. We like to say that our similarities were what brought us together, but our differences are what really made our love stronger. We are so thankful that Sacred Heart University brought us together. It was pivotal for us to go back to our roots for our Big Day. We’re so grateful and excited that you’re on this page, and we want you to know how much it means to the both of us that you will be there on our special day.

During our college years, we would document our time at Sacred Heart by taking an annual picture in front of Taylor Ann’s favorite tree; a Cherry Blossom. This tree was symbolic to the both of us. It’s in the heart of the campus, right next to the Chapel of the Holy Spirit. Rafe knew for a long time that this would be the spot he’d propose. Taylor Ann’s favorite tree, at one of our most special places, what could be better? Well...how about proposing on Taylor Ann’s favorite Holiday, Christmas….and getting photographed?
